Bacardi VDL

Everytime Bacardi VDL competed all eyes were on him. With his impressive canter, his unlimited scope and his powerful jump he fascinated already as a young horse. Everybody in the showjumping world was ultimately talking about him when he won the silver medal at the World Breeding Championships for 7 year old in Lanaken under the saddle of Jos Lansink.

Afterwards Janika Sprunger could secure Bacardi VDL for her stable and they quickly managed to establsh in the 5* sport. Together they were many times an important part of the Swiss team with a win in the Nations Cup in Rotterdam, a second place in Rome and a third in Abu Dhabi. Surely a highlight of his career were the World Equestrian Games in Tryon where he another time was in the spotlight of the attention.

They aswell won the World Cup of Dubai, became second in the Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Doha 2017, third in the World Cup of Sharjah and third in the Grand Prix of Rotterdam. Just to name a few of his incredible results with Janika and afterwards also with Edwina Tops-Alexander for Stal Tops.

Rarely used for breeding as a young stallion he has already offsprings with international top results. His daughter Goldenstar could bring home ribbions under the saddle of Abdel Said on int. 5* level like in Windsor, Stockholm & Brüssel. Also won a 3* 1,50m class in Opglabbeek & was second in the Grand Prix of Lier. Another daughter that shows succesfully on 5* level in the USA is Gerdinieke. She was placed in Wellington, Rockwood, Traverse City, Coapexpan and Balvanera week in and out with John Perez Bohm (COL).

A great success was secured by the mare Franciene & Sencer Can (TUR) in the Balkan Championships 2019. After four rounds of jumping they were crowned as Balkan Champions and received the gold medaille.
